    Fiber going the way of the buggy whip? It’s all microwave now? It’s true cel phones are part of the new POTS but that is wireless to the tower only. They sometimes trunk to neighbouring towers etc using microwave, but the backbone of every IP and Telephone communication accross continents is almost exclusively fibre. Fibre will likley never come to your house but for long distances almost all Microwave towers are gone, replaced by fibre. Only the end electronics will be updated the cable will have many years of service (unless accidentally cut). Satellite? When was the last time you had lag on your transatlantic call? 1980? These guys have no clue what they are talking about in that regard… absolutely none.
